My Bright, Fine Gold Questionnaire!

This is Kotuku, my reading groups work that we had to do this week. We had to answer some sentences on people from different countries about what it was like for them on the gold fields. We also had to write a little bit about gold. I found that gold is not 100% gold. About 1/4 of it is silver, copper and iron. It was fun learning about gold this week and I hope you find it fascinating.

My Jean Malfoy Sketch

This is the sketch that I did of Jean Malfoy, a person who fixed gold mining machinery. The speech bubble on the left says "Life was fine on the goldfields, it was quite fun actually," and the one on the right says "I came to NZ to fix the machinery on the goldfields." Please leave a comment!

We had to put in paragraphs because some people did not know how to use them and also lots of punctuation. I hope you like my Writing!

Claude Monet Painting

This is my replica painting of Claude Monet's The Isle Grande. We had to make our own painting that looks like his one. We had to paint the background first and then we had to paint the trees. After that we had to make the leaves. This part took quite a while. We got to choose to do the leaves with a paintbrush or our finger. I choose my finger. I like the way my painting turned out.
